problem with applet and browser issue HELP!

I can view my applet with appleteviewer of jdk 1.4 bugless ! but my internet explorer doesn't show the applet at all (just a gray square).The version of internet explorer is 6.0 and it's java enabled(I mean it's java console option is enabled) and jre is installed on my computer...
By the way ,in my applet I used only awt items...
So what's the problem?Please help me out !
