Problem with 2.111.7.20 Oracle DataAccess deployment with .net app
746252Apr 18 2010 — edited Aug 5 2010I'm new to this environment so don't shoot! I created an app (.net ) using ODP.net. Works fine on the development machine ( XP ) but when installing app to client's PC app errors out immediately if client is Vista or Win7. Error is basially " file not found" referring to the Oracle.DataAccess dll. I never get to the mainline code. This dll is in the assembly folder. What am I missing? Is there a minimum install that I should perform on the client's PC like InstantClient. I didn't have to do anything when installing/running app on XP machine and have no problem there.... Any ideas? I'm using Oracle.DataAccess version 2.111.7.20. I need to be able to run this app in Win2008 server and Win7 machines.
