Problem installing JRE on Windows XP

Hello, I'm running Windows XP SP3 with IE8. I have installed JRE 1.6.0_21 with my admin account and it runs correctly with this privileged account. But when I login to XP with a simple user account, IE doesn't open. I just have the JAVA 2 smarticon appearing in the taskbar and no other thing happen. I have uninstalled JRE 1.6.0_21 and tried JRE 1.5.0_22 bu the same symptom arrise.
