problem extending size for an object

I need to change the extent size for an object. I get the following restriction
whichever kind of size extent allocation the tablespace owns:

ORA-25150: ALTERING of extent parameters not permitted

What should I do?
In fact, I want to insert bigger content in a table for a CLOB row and the error message is that the dimension is bigger than the length specified.
