problem? drive LTO3 is in use by obtar ....

Hello world,
here's a HP Ultrium 960 LTO3 SCSI-Tapedrive on a Siemens Primergy TS as Tape Device for Secure backup against a 10Gr2 Enterprise running on SLES9.
This host has admin, media and client role.
Webinterfaces even of dbconsole as of OSB are working fine.
It would be nice, if I could say that of Backup/Restore too.

My problems are those:
- testing tape backup from EM dbconsole fails on media manager error.
- drive and device are recognised and registered by obtool.
- No jobs seems to be passing, because the device is pending scheduled.
- A notification tells me that the drive is in use by obtar on the host 'my_host' with process ID 'xxxxx'.
Even reporting of the tape content can't be done .
I did not find any hint how to release this for making backups or other operations possible.
I'm not very familiar with the cryptic obtar interface, so i used mt to take a close look onto the tape. There I found a some content on the tape.

What has to be done to make the osb-configuration functional?

regards

Franz Langner
