Printing BI Publisher PDF Template reports from APEX

While I have been able to transfer RTF report templates into Apex from BI Publisher and use them successfully. However, I have not been able to determine hor to do the same with PDF templates. The only template options are RTF and XSL-FO. Is there something obvious (or non-obvious) that I'm missing?
