Hello out there,
in the good old days™ when I issued a DDL commant like
alter table test add (grmpf number(4));
This immediately returned with an ORA-00054 when another session had a DML lock on that table. But now it waits till the other session commits or rolls back.
I did
alter session set ddl_lock_timeout=0;
but that does not help. So how can I prevent the DDL from waiting?
