Preparation for APEX Certification 1Z0-450

Can anyone who has taken the APEX Certification explain the nature of the exam (multiple choice? build an actual application?) and suggested preparation?

I have taken intermediate training and the Advanced Workshop and viewed the objectives at http://education.oracle.com/pls/web_prod-plq-dad/db_pages.getpage?page_id=41&p_exam_id=1Z0_450 and the video at http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2010/04/0235.html.

However, I am hoping someone can provide some additional details. Without having a practice exam, it's hard to gauge my level of preparedness.
