PointBase Database

Hey
i m quite novice in java developement and almost same in DataBase. I use Sun Studio Enterprise 8.0 as my IDE. Tho there is PointBase dataBase provided with my IDE but i dont know how to use it.
(I hav done enough Programming on ODBC Using MSAccess as database.)
Will someone plz suggest me step by step how to connect to PointBase and Create new Table. Just One example.
