pogo game

I downloaded JRT 5.0 because of freezing and prob with games. Although the games performed much better, I didn't get all the sound. I got intermittent sound.
I turned Microsoft VM back on and JRT 5.0 off and although I got the all the sounds back, the game started freezing and acting sluggish again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5.0 several times. This doesn't seem to make a difference. Any suggestions?
