Play a sound after some action

Hi,
I have an APEX application in which the user is rapid scanning barcodes and they are several (10-15) feet away from the computer/monitor. I would like to incorporate a "Success" sound and a "Error" sound from the computer. Any ideas on how i could accomplish this?
