pkgadd: How can I Force Install a Solaris 10 Package? - patchadd x86

user1072080Feb 3 2015 — edited Feb 3 2015

How can I force install a specific Solaris 10 x86 PKG  (SUNWqlc)?

I successfully removed the SUNWqlc package using pkgrm, with the intention of re-installing it afterwards.

(/kernel/drv/ssd.conf  module-driver wasn't present, and I needed to add a new SAN/CAMS FC file system.)

But, both commands fail for me:

# patchadd /119131-33

"SUNWqlc not installed on system, .......  Patch 119131-33 already installed on system......   Package SUNWqlc not applied...."

pkgadd:

# cd 119131-33

# pkgadd -d . SUNWqlc

"checkinstall script suspends"   1 package was not processed.....
