PK Violation Error Code

I'd like to know whether or not in the case of a PK violation (ie attempting to add a duplicate record to a table) Oracle sets the vendor-specific error code in the SQL exception and, if so, to what value. Unfortunately I don't have access to an Oracle DB right now so I can't test this myself.

Could someone help me with this or at least point me to the relevant documentation?
