Pivot Table Total causing big performance issues
Hi,
I am having a major problem with Totals in a few pivot tables. The reports in question return results quite quickly for the table and for the pivot view if there are no totals in it. For example I have a pivot table that shows year, period as rows and some counts as measures - if I add a total after year or period it never really returns a result - the whole server slows down and eventually I have to restart everything. The tempdb database (I am using sql server for the source) grows and fills the disk and sometimes the CPU is at full capacity. The server has 16GB of RAM with 4 quad core processors and about 300 GB of free space.
Is anyone else having similiar problems ? These reports did work in the past - I am suspicious but can't confirm exactly that it may be since I upgraded to 10.1.3.4
Thanks
Patricia
