Pinning VCPU to Physical CPU - Oracle VM

Hello,

I recently purchased 8 cores for my Oracle DB which is a guest VM in OVM. I need to pin the guest VM VCPUs to it's OVS physical CPU to follow oracle software compliance . Knowing that every 1 physical CPU is = 2 VCPU. Should I assign 16 VCPU to my guest VM in OVM and then pin those 16 VCPU to 8 PHYSICAL CPUs?

Or is it 8 vCPUs to 8 Physical CPU..

Please help!
