Good morning everyone,
We are having a problem connecting from Php to Oracle through a firewall.
- PHP 7.4.3 version on Linux Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS and uses oci8.dll 2.2.0 and Oracle 189instant client.
- Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.3.0 - 64bit Production on Linux x86 64-bit
Php's connection to Oracle is configured in DRCP with the purity parameter set to "new".
We had a lot of random "gateway timeout" errors, since we requested a firewall configuration change to always send a RST packet when a network socket is killed.
It seems that the firewall was killing sockets between the php process and the listener. These sockets always remained active even without an active oracle session.
Is there a way to avoid configuring the RST packet?
Thanks in advance
Giulio
