Permanently deleting default route

807557Mar 18 2008 — edited Mar 25 2008
Excuse me if this seems simple, but I'm new to Solaris and am having an issue with my default routes:

I have a T1000 running Solaris 10.4 with two aggregated interfaces; one of these interfaces connects to our LAN, the other connects to a VLAN to be used by our SunRay clients.

netstat -rn shows two default gateways; one that I've added (persistently) as our gateway on the LAN and another that keeps adding itself to the list. This spurious gateway points to a Cisco box that connects to a leased line to a remote site - something that we really don't want to be pushing traffic down.

I'm not sure why or how the Cisco box keeps getting added to the routing table. Deleting it improves network performance and user experience on the SunRays, but it will simply reappear moments later. Is there a way to permanently remove it from the list? Or lock the list that that only routes I add are used?

Thanks in advance, Joseph
