Performance issue with ODBC

Hello everyone..

I'm not sure whether this is the right category to post my issue, anyhow i would appreciate some advices & comments...

I've successfully configured heterogeneous services on my oracle database 10.2 on linux.
I'm using Oracle forms along with stored procedures to extract data from Oracle database and insert that data to Sql Server.
Had no problem with the ODBC configuration & everything's working great except for one major issue: Performance!

The insertion begins at a reasonable speed & then progressively slows until it becomes too slow.
I was wondering if anyone could give me tips on how to improve this performance.
