performance issue on oracle 10g on solaris 10

Hi
We have some performance issue on the oracle 10g while running batch, where the batch (Time for the Critical Path Run varies from 9hrs – 14hrs). Load estimates of Raw Data are (145-150 Million Rows Per Batch / Load Size is 26-28 GB Per Batch. How can we bring down the batch timings from 9/14 hours to 6 hours or less?
The oracle 10g is installed on the solaris 10. What could be the reason for the slow performance? Please help to bottle neck the issue
