PeopleSoft System Database Setup Error: PSDMTX Error: Signon

user8860348Mar 6 2010 — edited Aug 26 2010
Folks,

Hello. I have just installed MS SQL Server 2005 and PeopleTools 8.49 successfully. After that, I run D:\PT8.49\setup\PsMpDbInstall\setup.exe. The Wizard runs step by step and connects with SQL Server 2005 successfully. When the Wizard initializes Data Mover, it stops and comes up the message as follows:

"Invalid Access ID and Password for Signon. psdmtx error. The installation failed to load PeopleSoft data with following error: Error: Running psdmtx. Please look into the log file located under log directory for details."

I opened psdmtx.log and the message is: " PSDMTX Error: signon"

Because of the above error, I have set up PeopleTools 8.49 Configuration Manager properly. I also run Server Configuration Script "spconfig.sql" and "connect.sql" with setting proper value of <CONNECTID> and <CONNECTPS>.
After that, I run "D:\PT8.49\setup\PsMpDbInstall\setup.exe" again and get the same error.

In "setup.exe" Wizard, there are only 5 entries: PeopleSoft Symbolic ID (sa1), PeopleSoft Access ID (sa), PeopleSoft Access Password (mypwd), PeopleSoft Connect ID (people) and PeopleSoft Connect Password (mypwd).

As I know, PeopleSoft Access ID and Access Password are used to connect with SQL Server, and the 2 values connect with SQL Server successfully. PeopleSoft Connect ID and Connect Password are used to load PeopleSoft Database, and I have set the 2 values properly. Does PeopleSoft Symbolic ID (sa1) cause the problem ?

Can any folks help to resolve this problem ?

Thanks.
