I have been facing strange issue in LDAP login in some of our peoplesoft instances.
We have two HRMS instances - Instance1 and Instance 2. Both are LDAP enabled. We do not have CREATE PROFILE SYNC turned on. The network id and peoplesoft account id (as in psoprdefn) is same for all the users and in upper case. One particular user "XXYYZZ" is able to login in Instance1 using LDAP user id and password (and ofcourse with peoplesoft id and password). But for Instance 2, he can login only using his PeopleSoft id and password. His LDAP login fails for Instance 2.
Some points to Note:
1) Domain controllers are same for Instance 1 and Instance 2. Further, they are also assigned at same priority in both the instances.
2) Same peoplecode is being employed in both the instances
3) LDAP id and PeopleSoft ID are same. Passwords are obviously differenet.
4) Other users are able to login in Instance 2 using LDAP. So the issue seems to be user specific.
5) We tried deleting and cloning the profile for "XXYYZZ" in Instance2 where the LDAP is failing . But it does not fix the issue.
Please suggest.
