Peoplesoft Installation on Linux - Cannot Start Process Scheduler

64847May 3 2010 — edited May 4 2010
All,

I am trying to install Peoplesoft HRMS 9.1 PT 8.50 on OEL Linux 5.4 using Oracle 11gR2 database and am running into issues with configuring and starting the Process Scheduler. Brief details are as under:-

1. Application Server & Web Server got configured without issues and run fine.

2. No issues/errors are seen in configuration of Process Scheduler on Unix

3. Errors seen on the unix screen and std err (TraceSQL=2047,TracePC=4095) whe starting Processs Scheduler are as under:-
Booting server processes ...
exec PSMSTPRC -o ./LOGS/stdout -e ./LOGS/stderr -A -- -CD hc91dmo -PS PSUNX -A start -S PSMSTPRC :
CMDTUX_CAT:1685: ERROR: Application initialization failure
tmboot: CMDTUX_CAT:827: ERROR: Fatal error encountered; initiating user error handler
exec tmshutdown -y
Shutting down all admin and server processes in /apps/psoft/hc91/appserv/prcs/hc91dmo/PSTUXCFG

# Error message in stderr
PID: 29818 TIME: Mon May 3 13:45:49 2010 Attached to new server HC91DMO 0 11.100000
PID: 29818 TIME: Mon May 3 13:45:49 2010 Can't begin session
PID: 29818 TIME: Mon May 3 13:45:49 2010 Oracle error code: 1017
PID: 29818 TIME: Mon May 3 13:45:49 2010 ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied

4. sqlplus people/people & people/people@hc91dmo works fine from Unix OS prompt for hc91 user

Will appreciate if the Peoplesoft experts/Gurus on this forum can help me diagnose this issue. I can send all configuration, log and trace files if that helps in looking deeper into the issue. It is possible for me to organize a Team Viewer session so that a first hand look of the issue/live debugging is possible.

Thanks,

Satish
