PEAR in Zend Core installation

Dear reader,

I've installed Zend Core on Windows XP SP2 and installation was successful. I was wondering if PEAR is part of the installation. The fact that there is a PEAR submenu under the documentation menu on the Zend Core control center pages makes me assume it is, I can't find it however in the zend nor apache tree. Is it an installation option or is it just not there.
