PDO_OCI and CLOB

Is there still no support for CLOB insert/update in PDO_OCI in PHP 5.2.8?

It has been reported as a bug almost two and half years ago and last time it was just "waiting for PDO API to stabilize" according to few forum posts I was able to find.
