We are facing a similar issue in related to PDF reports in unicode Arabic / English.
I am working on Oracle database 10g and application server 10g on windows 2008 platform in Arabic Environment.
We need to get the menu & forms from right to left on arabic mode and its coming properly.
Our data filed can contain mixed data like Arabic and English / full Arabic or Full English.
Problem: While taking reports in PDF format it shows the mixed data (Arabic & English) not the same as which is stored
in the database.
I did the following settings:
-- Oracle database NLS_Characterset as AR8IS08859P6
--Oracle Database registery NLS_LANG as ARABIC_UNITED ARAB EMIRATES.AR8MSWIN1256
--Application Server registery NLS_LANG as Arabic_Egypt.AR8MSWIN1256
-- font subsetting in unicode.ali for PDF
-- font MS san serif is used in reports
