I just begin to explore ASO cubes with PBCS. I noticed something and was wondering if someone can help.
I set up my database dimensions, data maps, and smart push and was running some tests on pushing the data and checking results. I noticed that during one of the tests after I adjusted a data cell in BSO and pushed the data to ASO (using Smart Push on a form), the push was performed properly, however the aggregations in ASO were wrong. I could see the correct level zero data in ASO, however the aggregation levels were showing the prior aggregation numbers. Not finding any explanation to it in dimensions set up, I tried to 'Merge data' with Calc Manager and it resolved the issue. All tests after the merge were successful (data push and aggregation).
Any idea why would it happen? Also, how often do you 'Merge Data' slices in PBCS? I do not see an option to automate it with Jobs.

Update: January 2018 PBCS Release includes new Automated Job "Merging incremental data slices of an aggregate storage cube", so the issue is resolved.
