Pb setting remote SMTP cannot forward

807574May 29 2008 — edited Feb 10 2020
Hi,

I set service.http.smtphost = remote-smpt-server-ip-address (university smtp)
If we use the webmail (uwv) and send messages outside our domain its all right
If we use the webmail (uwc) and activate the forward paramters and want forward messages outside of our domain it looks like it is forbidden.

Here the mail.log

<en ts="2008-05-29T00:16:17.14" pi="26fd.2.13" sc="tcp_local" dc="" ac="Q" sz="11" so="yyyyy@xxxx.xx" od="rfc822;yyyyy@our_domain" de="zzzz@outdomain" rf="20" fi="/opt/sun/comms/messaging64/data/queue/tcp_local/018/ZOg030E00KDr1.00" mi="<483A80FC.7050901@xxxxxxxx.xx>" us="mailsrv" pr="3" di="TCP active open: Failed connect() a.b.c.d:25 Error: Connection timed out" qt="219402"/>

where a.b.c.d is not our remote smtp server.

Must I change something in the tcp_local channel ?
actual tcp_local channel:

tcp_local smtp mx single_sys remotehost inner switchchannel identnonenumeric subdirs 20 maxjobs 7 pool SMTP_POOL maytlsserver maysaslserver saslswitchchannel tcp_auth missingrecipientpolicy 0 loopcheck

I read also that the outgoing smtp mail are processed by the tcp_smtp_client channel programm but I don't find it on my install (only tcp_smpt_server
tcp_smtp_slave) is this normal ?

Here my imta version: Sun Java(tm) System Messaging Server 6.3-2.01 (built Jun 13 2007; 64bit)

Please help me
{noformat} Thanks,
