Path for RMAN restore set

I'm trying to restore a database on another machine using RMAN.

Docs I can find tell me how to do everything but where to locate the files, or how to specify the path of the files of the backup set that I've placed on the machine.

I could use a hint. Is there a table that I can look up that information?

What about a RMAN setting?

RMAN> SHOW ALL

doesn't give me a hint.
