Password not saving correctly for MySQL and SQLServer connections. Oracle connections working fine...

user-aorleOct 18 2023

Hi,

I'm using SQLDeveloper 23.1.0.097.1607 on Windows 10. I have both the MySQL Connector version 8.1.0 and jtds version 1.3.1 installed.

When I create a new MySQL or SQLServer connection, if I tick the “Save Password” box and then click “Test”, I'll get a “Success” message. However, if I save the connection and then connect I'll get an access denied message.

If I don't tick the “Save Password” box, save, and then connect, I am prompted for the password, which I enter, and the connection is made successfully and I can browse databases etc.

Oracle connections work fine if I save the password.

Any ideas?

Thanks :)
