Password change of OS user creates problem in RAC !!!!!

LazyOraDBANov 20 2008 — edited Nov 21 2008
Hi Experts,

OS IBM AIX 5.3L
Oracle Database EE 10G 10.1.0.4 .0
RAC and ASM

There are two DB servers node 1 and node 2. and there is an ABC (say) user on both nodes where Oracle S/W is installed.

I login through ABC user using putty as below:

Node 1
Hostname: <IP address of node 1>
Login as :ABC

ABC@00.00.00.00's password: ABC

And

Node 2
Hostname: <IP address of node 2>
Login as :ABC

ABC@00.00.00.00's password: ABC

Now I wanna change password of this ABC user b’coz this is the password given at the time of oracle s/w installation.

For security reasons I wanna change it. Once it was changed but RAC created some problems and therefore, it is reverted to its original settings.

Plz suggest me the process and name of files where it is updated in RAC.

Warm regards,
