password and retype password check validation in apex 4.1

Dear Friends

i created a password change form in apex 4.1
it has 4 fields

1.p1_user_id
2.p1_old pass
3.p1_newpass
4.p1_retyp pass

and 2 buttons 1.change 2.cancel

Now hear is my problem....
I want to check new pass and retyp pass entered by user is equal or not and also for special charecters

I am using apex 4.1.Can anyone please help me how to do it because i am new to apex.
