Passing Oracle Fusion User ID to Oracle APEX Using a Button URL

Malek Shushari16 hours ago

I have an Oracle APEX application with the following home page URL:

https://oracleapex.com/ords/r/******/*****/home

On this page, there is a page item named P1_NEW.

I created a button in Oracle Fusion that redirects users to this APEX page. The requirement is to pass the current Oracle Fusion user ID to the APEX application through the URL, so that the value can be used in P1_NEW to filter and display only the data related to the logged-in user.

However, when the button is clicked from Oracle Fusion, the generated URL is:

https://oracleapex.com/ords/r/****/******/home?P1_NEW=

This means the value of P1_NEW is empty. The issue occurs because EL expressions such as #{UserId} are not supported in this context in Oracle Fusion.

What is the correct and supported way in Oracle Fusion to pass the current user’s User ID (or Person ID) to an Oracle APEX page via the URL, so that the value is received correctly in the APEX page item?
