Passing hard-coded filter values when also prompted

Hi - I'm at a loss and begging for some help.

I have a dashboard, with multiple pages and all use the same prompts. Each page has various analyses, some designed with hard-coded, static filter values on things such as status or type. These same dimensions are also prompted, so a user could narrow the scope from the hard-coded list if they chose to.  This all works fine in the dashboard.  The problem is when I use an action link to drill into a another analysis. Many of the analyses from the dashboard link to the same detail analysis, with the expectation that the filters and/or prompts will pass values to the detail analysis and the detail will match the count, etc., of the summary in the dashboard. All of the prompted fields are also prompted filters in the detail analysis. What I'm finding is that this works fine except for the hard-coded filters - those parameters aren't being passed through as expected.  So an analysis in the dashboard is showing data related to all open cases (filtered status in the criteria tab as a hard-coded value). The case status prompt is blank. The analysis shows fine in the dashboard. But when I click through, that "open" status doesn't get passed through to the next analysis, so I get ALL statuses.

Long-winded way to ask how do I get those hard-coded values to pass through to the next report?
