PageDef InvokeAction deprecated - will it be removed?

Hi,

I am using Jdeveloper 12.1.2.

While working on ADF desktop integration project, in the documentation I found that Oracle still advises the use of invokeAction executable in pageDef for excel sheet (https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/1212/adf/ADFDI/deploy_app.htm#ADFDI61976 ) as far as I know, it is deprecated and can be removed in future release. Does anyone know if its already removed in releases > 12.1.2? I can still use it in 12.1.2 so that is good, but I don't want to restrict the project to this version.

If it is removed or there are plans to remove it, then does anyone know an alternative to this? This is for excel, so I don't have a taskflow to use a default activity.
