Page submission error with APEX 4.1 and Safari 5.1.4

Hello All,

One of my users reported an issue with my APEX application this morning that looks very much like some sort of incompatibility between their specific version of the browser and our installation of Application Express 4.1.0.00.32.

The short version is that the user is on a specific page APEX Page and clicks on the navigation tab at the top. When the next page loads it always displays the APEX Error "Item ID (########) is not an item defined on the current page." In both cases I've seen so far, the ID number refers to a Page Item from the previous page, and yet it also happens when I click on the navigation tab pointing to the page I'm currently on.

Now, the fun part. I've only seen this with Macs running the newest stable Safari, 5.1.4. It works fine on Safari 5.1.2 and 5.1.3, Chrome 17.0, Firefox 8.0.1 and 11.0 -- again, running on a Mac.

Things I've tried:
1. Clearing the browser cache, cookies, etc.
2. Killing the session thinking there was something corrupt in the session cache.
3. Comparing the form data submitted by working and non-working versions of Safari, noting no particular differences.
4. Searching Google and the forums for similar issues.

Is anyone else seeing anything similar to this? Does anyone have any suggestions?

Regards,
Jason
