Oracle Database Discussions

When I tried to evoke owm & (using putty, & x11). This is a 9i system, and owm resides in: /oracle/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin and $ORACLE_HOME=/oracle/oracle/app/oracle/product/9.2.0

I get:

./owm[148]: /u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/JRE/bin/jre: Execute permission denied.

I checked the permission on jre (even recursively modified them for 777) and I am still getting the same error.

What gives? I there a way I can debug this to see what is going on other than this error?
