OWB 11g table new option: "Is Temp Staging Table", info plus error help

Hi, I'm seeing a new option while designing a map in OWB 11g for a target table. The option is "Is Temp Staging Table", with a checkbox. If this does what I think it does - it's exactly what I'm looking for. I think it's supposed to create a temp table for the life of the map, then once the map is done it goes away.

However, when I turn the checkbox on and try to generate the map, I keep getting an error API-0402: Illegal Character " not allowed.

Does someone know for sure what this does, and how to get it working?
