Overheard of CDC and LogMiner?

Hi all, I have a requirement to read live data out of an Oracle database and am thinking of using a combination of CDC and LogMiner to read data from the redo logs.

Can someone tell me what kind of overhead enabling CDC and LogMiner would put on the database?

The database in question has roughly 300,000 to 500,000 transactions per day, with each transaction updating anywhere from 4 to 12+ tables.
