Overhead of having high value of processes (or sessions) init parameter

Hello,
Does anyone know what is the overhead (if any) of having high value of processes or sessions initialization parameter? E.g. The value of this parameter may be set to 5000 and actual utilization could be only 1000. We are using dedicated server processes and oracle version is 10.2.0.4.
