Outliers (Flash)

thrupassMay 3 2016 — edited May 4 2016

Hi, Experts

in [Outlier Summary] part

There are no disk outliers on flash disks

but

in [Exadata OS IO Statistics - Outlier Cells] part

It seems like there are outliers

which one is right ?

and if outlier exists what can I do to tune it ?

Thanks in advance

Outlier Summary - Disk Level

  • Outliers are disks whose average performance is outside the normal range, where normal range is -/+ 3 standard deviation
  • Outlier disks must have a mininum of 10 IOPs. Idle disks are not considered for outlier analysis.
  • Outliers for hard disks are displayed when Hard Disk IOPs exceeds 30.06 (1% of maximum capacity of 3,006)
  • Outliers for flash disks are displayed when Flash Disk IOPs exceeds 535.74 (1% of maximum capacity of 53,574)
  • A 'v' and a dark yellow background indicates an outlier value below the low range
  • A '^' and a light red background indicates an outlier value above the high range
  • A '*' and a dark red background indicates over maximum capacity
  • Maximum hard disk capacity: IOPS: H/7.2T: 167 | IO MB/s: H/7.2T: 111
  • Maximum flash disk capacity: IOPS: F/1.5T: 8,929 | IO MB/s: F/1.5T: 343
  • There are no disk outliers on flash disks
  • There are no disk outliers on hard disks
