Outer join with lpad

731005Jan 19 2010 — edited Jan 19 2010
Hi,

We have this basic query which works fine :
select pp.upc, a.barcode from ALBUM a, PHYSICALPRODUCT pp where lpad(pp.upc, 13, '0') = lpad(a.barcode, 13, '0')

But we wanted to make an outer join. If we take off the lpad, it works. But if we do as below, we've got ORA-00936, missing expression :

select pp.upc, a.barcode from ALBUM a, PHYSICALPRODUCT pp where lpad(pp.upc, 13, '0') (+) = lpad(a.barcode, 13, '0')

If someone can help us about that.

Thks.
