Out of range message after install of Oracle Enterprise Linux 64 bit

681251Jan 22 2009 — edited Jan 27 2009
I installed the 64 bit version of Oracle Enterprise Linux on my PC.
At the end of the installation the pc rebooted and the computer restarted with Linux.
But then I got the words 'Out of range' on my screen, the screen then freezes and I am unable to continue.
I presume its something to do with the setup of my monitor/driver within Linux, but I'm not sure.
I did notice that it didn't recognise the graphics card during linux installation, and it defaulted in a driver.
How do I fix this problem ?
Also, I can't find any information about installing the oracle enterprise linux update disks.
Is it necessary once linux is installed to apply all the update disks incrementally, or just the latest one,
or does the latest release of oracle enterprise linux include those anyway ?

Many Thanks

Tony
