OUI quits unexpectedly
25623Sep 14 2012 — edited Sep 14 2012I have a new windows 7 home premium 64 bit core i7 machine that I would like to install 11g R2 onto. No matter what I try, when I run the installer and OUI, a dos window opens and closes very quickly and then nothing.
When looking at the OraInstall files in the AppData\Local\Temp directories, the installActions file always has the same infomration:
"Using paramFile: C:\Users\myUser\Downloads\Oracle\database\install\oraparam.ini"
"Checking monitor: must be configured to display at least 256 colors. Actual 4294967296 Passed

So far, I've tried uninstalling Norton, changing the security settings, and installing 64 and 32 bit versions of Java SE. Any thoughts?
