OTA size limit for an SIM toolkit applet

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of downloading (OTAing) an applet onto a SIM card after the SIM card has been issued? I'm trying to find out if there is a practical or advisable size limit for an applet that has to be OTA'd onto a card using SMS as the bearer.

Also does anyone know how widely BIP (bearer independent protocol) is supported by OTA platforms and what are the size limits on applets that are downloaded using BIP/GPRS?
