OSB XQuery and Regular Expressions in fn:matches function

1033781Oct 20 2009 — edited Oct 21 2009
I've been using the XQuery fn:matches($arg, $pattern) function which takes an argument and matches it against a regular expression.
There appears to be a limitation in the OSB implementation. XQuery 1.0 suports the {} quantifers but it appears OSB doesn't.

For example the pattern:

[A-Z]{10}_[0-9]{3,5}

should match exactly 10 uppercase alphas, followed by underscore ('_'), followed by 3 to 5 numerals.
OSB though doesn't like the {} characters.

Can someone confirm this and/or provide a reference to a definitive list of limitations in the OSB implementation of XQuery (becasue this is the second one I've found out about by accident)...

regards
