OSB and linux with single tape reconized HP surestore DAT 24

Okay

My first round with this failed after going through the installob
and creating a /lib/obk.so and /dev/obt0 without a media library.
I thought a media library meant legato et al so I opted not
to install one because my scsi drive has a manual single
tape loader.

I looked at the windows installation flash video and might have
missed the step of setting up a tape library with a raw drive.

I wish they would make a similar video for all us Linux users
who have a scsi tape drive that takes one tape no bar code tape changer
( except for manual ).

When I went to the obtool prompt and did an obtar it complained
about drivers... so if you don't have legato, veritas or a tape changer
I think you still have to create a library device and tape device...
and set up the library device raw... in the windows video they have
you disable the device driver and reboot and install OSB.

Has anyone cracked this yet without using legato, veritas etc
and a single tape drive unit...

I can't wait till this works...

Thanks
