org.w3c.dom.Document skip a lines between Elements

Hello,
I'm generating an XML file from an org.w3c.dom.Document and I'd like to know how can I manually skip a line in the generated xml file.

<root>
<myElement>...</myElement>
skip a line here !
<myElement>...</myElement>
</root>
