Oracle XE on Debian Sarge 3.1 installation problem

513407May 19 2006 — edited May 20 2006
I'know there has been a lot of people posting about installing Oracle XE on Debian.. but i don't find any similar to my problem.. whe i install oracle XE i got this message:

delta:/# dpkg -i /root/oracle-xe_10.2.0.1-1.0_i386.deb
Selecting previously deselected package oracle-xe.
(Reading database ... 85766 files and directories currently installed.)

You must run '/etc/init.d/oracle-xe configure' as the root user to configure the database.

As you can see.. it seems that some file are missing.. and there is no /etc/init.d/oracle-xe after installation. Did someone encounter this kind of problem...

Please.. any help would be appreciated

Best Regards..
