Oracle XE 11.2 / Apex 18 Certificate Validation

3749484Jul 25 2018 — edited Sep 18 2018

Hey,

i am currently working on a university project with oracle 11.2 and apex 18. I ran into a problem with sending E-Mails over an external SMTP server, the SMTP server is running SSL (wich is good) but Oracle declines to connect due to the "ORA-29024: Certificate validation failure".

Since we're in the XE edition the wallet manager to save the foreign key is not available, i also tried the workaround with openssl found here: https://blog.hazrulnizam.com/openssl-workaround-oracle-xe-wallet/  wich sadly didn't work for me.

My question now is, since it is only a university project, if there is a way to disable the certification check altogether.

Thanks!
