Oracle Vs Bigdata (Hadoop)

JhilJul 20 2017 — edited Jul 20 2017

Dear all,

We panic about HADOOP & BIGDATA (Open Source Technologies).

Many peoples are believing HADOOP is going to rule Database market after 5 years.

Bigdata is booming like anything.

Data is growing day by day - so size of the database also growing in TB's.

Because HADOOP & BIGDATA are mainly designed for huge databases and they are supporting for  Structured & Unstructured data types.

Recently one  customer has moved from Oracle to SQL Server - (Microsoft's AZURE provides free space to deploy SQL SERVER databases)..

Cloud (AWS) and HADOOP are really giving tough competition to Oracle

1)  Suppose HADOOP is going to crash  Oracle's market  , What about feature of Oracle DB ?

@ 70 %  of data is unstructured globally.
